Yesterday, Me, Tomorrow.

So, I used 3 pictures, one of the Golden Gate bridge but I filtered it to make it black and white that spread to the picture of me in DSA and kind of faded half way through the picture and I just did that to show the transition from each picture and from there the rest of it was color. I masked in the picture back into the 3rd picture and blurred it. The last thing was saving it as a .jpeg and added the Gaussian blur to the edges of the pictures thats transitions it.

I am from…

My first I am from, I didn’t really know what I was going to do, but I just used 3 pictures. 1 picture as a background and over laid  the other two within the loops of the earphones. It was kind of difficult to place the poem onto the pictures without covering up the image and make it look flowing. So, what I did was separate each stanza into its own text box and placed it around the pictures. Then I just masked the pictures and used the lasso tool to copy a piece of the wire to make it look like its inside the loop.

My second I am from, It was difficult to come up with an idea for this one but then I read over my poem, and an idea came to me to put in pictures and fade it in, and make it look kind of see through for the part of the poem that says “I am from albums filled with pictures that slowly became a memory.” to show me thinking about it and fading. All I did was mask in pictures and changed some of the opacities and fill to make it seem translucent. With the poem, you couldn’t really see the text, so I added effects to it, so the black fade could make it easier to read.

Awww. Randy was gone again!

Well, while you/he was off camping, we had to create 4 portraits using only words (typography) to express what we’re trying to say without using much graphics. SO…  I had a great idea for my spy portrait but it became too showy with the whole James Bond picture I had surround my phrase with, which looked cool but wasn’t really what the assignment was asking for, but that’s okay! I had to start a bit fresh but I still wanted to use my James Bond picture, so I decided to use my name to be the “hole” James Bond would be looking through. I thought this is one I the best I made!

My next portrait was a bit difficult to come up with but I came up with using the “That’s So Raven” title card as a template because everyone knows that Raven was a psychic and it was pretty fun to recreate one for my name! My goal for this one was to make it look like the letters were also beaming in a way, to show that I am psychic! 🙂

This one I’m kind of iffy about because it might be too showy, also. For this portrait I thought of using a reminder app kind of theme to it, and that I completed nothing because I’m so forgetful, but getting that app didn’t help remind me about anything that well.

I’m so accident prone, getting a rock thrown at my name and getting dizzying and falling down. I also added the construction background, because that’s where people get into accidents. It wasn’t that hard to create, I just needed to find the perfect font to go with it.

TEST!

First test in Multimedia! AHHH!

Well actually it wasn’t that bad.

We were given 3 pictures to combine and turn into this.

First thing I did was figure out which picture was the background image, which was the boat. Then I layered on top the moon since it was mostly the easiest to finish. Masked the Moon’s background. Then layered on top the Town picture. This part was the most difficult, because we had to make the water look like it blended in with the boat picture and also with the cloning part with the dock and the tree. Then I got some help with my friends to get the whole picture black and white while having the boat colorized. Finally, I cleaned up the whole image and here’s the the picture! Ta Da!

More amazing pictures! :)

You can’t tell me those pictures are crazy awesome!

Randy wasn’t here, so we made these will he was gone. First we made the penguin slide on its belly from him standing up. We used the patch tool to help hide the second penguin we didn’t need and then I transformed it to have its on its belly. Then moved his head to make it look more like he was sliding not falling!

In the elephant one, we learned how to overlay a picture over another one. We layered two pictures which were the Vintage picture and the Elephant. Then we masked the Vintage picture over the elephant to make it look like that! I had so much fun making this one!

It’s crazy what we could do with Photoshop! We restord the old image, and cloned the stairwell without the wood on it!

With the Old Image, we just used the healing brush to clone the background and it helped blend it in with the rest of the picture and make it look more modern. Then we fixed his clothes and hair with the cloning tool. For his tie we used the patch tool which helped because if we used the stamp tool it wouldn’t look right and with the patch tool it copied a piece of the tie to make it look like we didn’t just clone the tie. Then we fixed up his hair with the same tool. Repairing his fore hard was one of the challenging parts of this picture because we had to clone the right piece of his forehead to make it blend in with everything.

And for the Stairwell, we used the stamp tool once again and took every piece of the stairs to cover up the piece of wood that was up there. Then we fixed the bottom right corner and covered up the ladder and junk near the door with a mix of the healing tool and stamp tool.

We learned to layer pictures on top of each other and cleaned them to look more realistic.

Burning Down the House.

We first layered the Kid’s Stuff picture on top of the House. Masked the Kid’s Stuff picture and covered up the background and used the cloning tool to extend the flowers. Then we added the Sand and the sea picture to the background to make it look like smoke. After we used a flame picture to add fires to the house. Making it seem like the children started the fire. I added my own touches to the picture by adding Voldemort 🙂

Model City.

For this picture we first layered the model picture on top of the Shoreside picture. Masked the models background and masked her clothes and glasses. Then we used the blur filter to blur the background!

One of the first things we learned in Multimedia was how to colorize a black and white picture. We did this by masking parts of the pictures and being able to change it’s color by colorizing it and doing that to the rest of the picture instead of just leaving it black and white.

I really love being in Multimedia! It’s one of the classes I look forward to all week. Since I’m one of the legacies in DSA, I kind of new what I was getting into. When we were learning how to use photoshop for the first time, I was a bit confused, but I slowly got used to it. I love coming into class and going straight to my computer, logging in and finding our we’re learning something new and making a picture amazing!
